Over a relationship spanning over a decade, Pan Africa Life (PAL) once again engaged Dotsavvy in 2014 to build a world-class corporate website that would reinforce its status as an Insurance market leader in Kenya

Background

PAL is one of Kenya’s oldest and most successful providers of life insurance offerings for all market segments. PAL sought out Dotsavvy after a hiatus of several years to realise an enhanced corporate website that would be on par with the best insurers globally. This meant that PAL needed a website that would conform to best practices whilst at the same time exploring next practices too.

Work

Dotsavvy have to completely rebuild the PAL corporate website from a visual, structural and technology perspective. Dotsavvy created a stunning user experience that would be aesthetically pleasing whilst also being intuitive to navigate via a responsive design for all screens. Dotsavvy reworked copy (via copywriting) on the website so that it was more concise and easy to understand for end-users. We integrated a new content management system (CMS) that would provide ease of use where content was concerned as well as extensibility for new features and functionalities. Dotsavvy also integrated e-commerce capabilities so that PAL could sell insurance online in Kenya and beyond, as well as PAL branded merchandise – the very first-time ever that PAL had ventured into online commerce. Lastly, Dotsavvy also added a Live Chat feature so that customers could engage with customer support personnel in real-time via the web.

Outcome

The PAL corporate website has been online for almost 2 years. In that time, the website has greatly improved the image of PAL as a leading insurer in Kenya whilst also improving information dissemination and service delivery to all its existing and prospective stakeholders. Through e-commerce, PAL is now able to sell some of its Insurance offerings directly to customers, online, whilst also providing Live Chat for real-time engagement. Ultimately, PAL has moved ahead of many of its Insurance competitors by being digitally progressive.
