About the Role
The Account Manager is a key resource at Dotsavvy. You are simultaneously the client’s champion inside our walls and our agency’s ambassador in the boardroom. You manage the relationship, the brief, the budget, and the team — ensuring every deliverable lands on time, on strategy, and above expectation.
This is a senior individual contributor role with full account ownership across a defined client portfolio. You will work directly with our Strategy, Creative, Paid Media, and Content teams to bring digital marketing engagements to life.
Responsibilities
- Account stewardship: Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for a defined client portfolio, proactively anticipating needs and managing expectations at senior levels.
- Integrated campaign management: Lead end-to-end delivery of digital marketing engagements — from brief to post-campaign analysis — coordinating across creative, media, content, and technology workstreams.
- Strategic input: Contribute to annual and quarterly digital strategy development, translating client business objectives into actionable integrated marketing plans.
- Commercial accountability: Manage account P&L, produce accurate billing, track budgets against forecasts, and flag risks proactively. Own scope-of-work documentation and change control.
- Internal team leadership: Brief, direct, and quality-control output from creative, content, and media teams. Ensure every deliverable meets agency standards before client delivery.
- Business development: Identify organic growth opportunities within existing accounts. Contribute to new business pitches including strategy decks, capability presentations, and proposal writing.
- Reporting and insight: Produce clear, insight-rich performance reports and translate data into plain-language recommendations clients can act on.
- AI-assisted workflow: Actively integrate AI productivity tools to accelerate quality output — for brief drafting, research synthesis, and performance commentary — without replacing strategic thinking.
Requirements
- 2 to 4+ years of experience in digital account management at an agency or consultancy, with direct client ownership.
- Confident working knowledge of paid social, SEO/SEM, programmatic, email, and content marketing channels.
- Hands-on experience with Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, TikTok for Business, Google Analytics, or similar analytics platforms.
- Track record managing multi-line client budgets, producing scopes of work, and protecting agency margin.
- Exceptional written and verbal English with the ability to present confidently to C-suite audiences.
- Strong proposal writing, creative brief writing, and PowerPoint or Google Slides presentation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or equivalent professional experience.
- Comfortable using AI tools as a daily productivity layer. Curious and adaptive rather than deeply technical.
- Understanding of the Kenyan media landscape and regional East African digital market dynamics is a strong advantage.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience working across multiple East African markets (Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Ethiopia).
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Asana, Trello, or equivalent.
- Experience contributing to or leading agency RFP responses and new business pitches.
